CELEBRATE SUMMER SOLSTICE

EVENT: Spiritual teacher and therapist Abigail Spinner McBride will host the annual Summer Solstice Sacred Celebration of Song & Sound! Monday, June 17, 7-10 p.m. at The Enlightenment Center, 5795 S. Sandhill, Suite B, 702-477-5060. Advanced tickets are $20. Ticket sales end June 16, midnight, $25 at the door.

Summer Solstice is the time of year when the light is at its height. This evening we will be exploring sacred sounds to lift our spirits and bring out the bliss that lives in each of us.

There will be magic words of power, mystical shapes of mudras to let the sun shine in, vibrations to uplift the spirit and enlighten the soul and some amazing surprises and guests.

I will be sharing the Invocation of the Divine Light as shared by Sivananda Radha Saraswati, and I am grateful to transmit this beauty and light.

Matthew Conners will be leading us into a sonic space of meditation on his pan drum, and Rob Lewis will be accompanying us for the evening.

It’s not about being perfect pitch, or knowing the words, or “doing it right.” It’s about just showing up, ready, willing and able to open your mouth, to open your heart and sing. It’s about bringing yourself back, over and over, to the moment, to the song, to the silence and to the Light.
